Hitchiner Manufacturing’s global leadership in investment casting-based components serving critical markets for automotive, aerospace and defense starts right here in New Hampshire — and its strong partnership with the University of New Hampshire is helping fuel that success.

During a recent visit to Hitchiner’s Milford headquarters, UNH President Elizabeth Chilton saw firsthand how the company’s commitment to innovation, local workforce development and UNH alumni is shaping both the state’s economy and its next generation of leaders. While at Hitchiner Manufacturing, Chilton was led on a tour of the site by Chairman and CEO John Morison III ’76, and John Morison IV ’16G.

“I appreciated the opportunity to tour Hitchiner’s amazing facilities and to thank Chairman Morison for his deep commitment and service to UNH,” says Chilton. “New Hampshire is such a great place to live and work because of community leaders like him and the Morison family. As the university crafts a vision for our next strategic plan, we will continue to enhance our partnerships with industry to help drive the state’s strong economy and quality of life.”

Morison III is a longtime champion of UNH, currently serving on both the E-Center Advisory Task Force and the UNH Business Advisory Council. He is also a past member of the UNH Foundation Board. Annually, Hitchiner Manufacturing Scholarships are awarded to UNH students in both the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences and the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics.

“At Hitchiner Manufacturing, we are proud of our long history of community service and support, including our deep partnership with UNH,” says Chairman Morison. “We were pleased to host President Chilton at our site for a tour of our facilities and a discussion on the rewarding professional opportunities we are offering UNH graduates here in Milford.”
